Short, because the arrangement is simple: the tool is free, it runs on your machine, and it comes with no promises about outcomes.

Using it

You may use this site for anything lawful, personally or commercially, for as many photographs as you like. Nothing needs to be asked for and nothing is charged. No licence is signed and no limit to exceed beyond the per-job ceiling the tool states on its own surface.

Your photographs

They remain yours entirely. This site claims no rights over anything you open with it and receives no copy of it — the work happens in your browser and the output is written by you, on your machine, to a location you choose.

No warranty

The tool is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. It may misjudge a file, fail on a format, run out of memory on a folder larger than your machine can carry, or produce an archive a particular program refuses to open. So far as the law permits, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from using it — including lost or damaged image files.

Before you delete anything

This matters more than the paragraph above it. A compression job is not a backup and this tool never deletes a source file. Open the archive, check the manifest against it, and satisfy yourself that every file you care about is present and correct before you remove anything from the folder you started with. If you are working on the only copy of something, do not.

Advertising and links

Advertising is not yet enabled on this site, and the privacy page states what will and will not be visible to an advertising network when it is. Other tools are occasionally mentioned by name where a job belongs somewhere else; those services are governed by their own terms, which are theirs rather than ours.

Changes

These terms may be revised as the tool changes. The version on this page is the one that applies, and continuing to use the site after a revision is how it is accepted. There is no account, so there is nothing to cancel — closing the tab ends the arrangement.
